The key to rely less on advertising and more on organic growth is to have relevant and good content.
Though AdBrite and Text-Link-Ads and others have been innovative or atleast some of them are early players in this market, the future is likely to be buying and selling these links off of eBay! . Just search for “text links”.
The reality is that many blogs with a PR3 to PR5 though reasonably/pretty good in terms of page rank, the expected pageviews per month of these is no more than 2000. With a click rate of 5% or less, and an avg CPC of $0.05, this translates to about $10. However, by selling about 10 links at $2 to $5 a month, you can make more than $10. People already are doing this! So, what are you waiting for? Build a great blog, increase the PR and some traffic and jump on to eBay! and sell links and make profit!
Ofcourse, it’s not easy to do this. Building repeat customers over a period of time may payoff. People will buy the links if they see very relavent content.
